Breast Cancer Campaign's second one-day scientific conference to celebrate achievements in current breast cancer research
Tuesday, 13 May 2008, The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AG
About Breast Cancer Campaign
Breast Cancer Campaign is the only charity that specialises in funding independent breast cancer research
throughout the UK and has supported innovative peer reviewed research since 1995. Campaign has funded 183 grants worth over £18.5 million and currently has an annual research spend of over £3 million.
In 2005 Campaign launched its research strategy which highlighted the need to engage in scientific and public dialogue; a primary reason to host a conference to bring together the UK breast cancer community.
The Conference
We look forward to a packed and varied programme that will cover all aspects of breast cancer research. Our specially invited keynote speakers will showcase their work along with excellent presentations selected fromabstract submission at a single plenary session. Back by popular demand will be an extensive selection of poster presentations; one of the many highlights of last year’s conference.
The theme of the conference is simply breast cancer research; we welcome abstract submissions covering all aspects from prevention right through to treatment and beyond.
Abstract submission will be open to all and not restricted to Campaign funded researchers.
The meeting is open to all individuals with an interest in breast cancer research and will provide attendees with an opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas and build collaborations.
