Fees and costs
Fees
Most of our work is charged on a fee plus costs basis, the level of the fee depending upon the complexity of the event and the scope of work we are expected to undertake. Any revenue generated by the event, and the costs thereof, belong to the client. The amount of the fee is agreed in writing at the beginning of the process, and a simple contract letter signed by ourselves and the client. We try to be flexible and arrange an invoicing plan which can be comfortably accommodated by the client’s cash flows. As we often take responsibility for compiling and monitoring the detailed budget, we ensure that all spend on behalf on the client is agreed before committing to it.

Central Conference Consultants is a VAT registered company and all our invoices carry VAT at 17.5%.
Special cases Sponsorship
We like to work with interesting and worthwhile issues and organisations, and it is sometimes necessary to think outside the box to ensure that a valuable event is not blocked by lack of funds. In special cases, Central Conference Consultants may adopt the event, providing the necessary investment, underwriting costs and retaining the resulting profit. We generally expect to raise sponsorship before we sign up to this approach. We regularly seek sponsorship on behalf of our clients or for events which our company is underwriting. The basis on which we do this depends upon the relationship between clients and sponsors. Usually, we would charge a percentage of the sponsorship raised, thus ensuring that our reward is success based. However, where the client already has a close relationship with a likely sponsor, we would not expect to charge any additional fee for liaising with them to complete the process.
